Postcard From Spain

Postcard from Spain is a weekly radio programme on Hospital Radio Basingstoke that brings you a taste of sunshine on Friday evenings from 7-8pm.

The presenter is Vernon Pearce, who has retired to the town of Orba in the north of the Costa Blanca with his wife Celia. He presents the programme direct from his home, featuring music from the ’70s and ’80s, news and stories from Spain, plus a recipe each week with a Mediterranean flavour.

Vernon was a member of the station for many years when he lived in Alton, Hampshire and presents other programmes for the station, such as the Love Songs Hour, Smooth Jazz, Sound of Country, Sounds of the 40s and Grumpy Old Men, which he co-hosts with ex-HRB member Brian Starman.
