This week, in another programme direct from my home on the Costa Blanca, I’ll be bringing you more great music from the ’70s and ’80s, featuring tracks by Odyssey, Dee C Lee, Bob Marley, Joe Cocker, Archie Bell and the Drells, Bonnie Tyler and the Bee Gees.

My featured Spanish track is another from Miguel Bose’s album Papito and this week he duets with Rose Leon singing “Si Todos Fuesen Iguales A Tí”.

In the news stories this week, I’ll be telling you how the regional government of Cataluna is banning bullfighting, how unemployment is still rising in Spain and the resort of Salou bans swimwear in the town centre in a bid to clean up its image.

More great music from the ’70s and ’80s this week, including tracks by Duran Duran, Abba, Charles Aznavour, ELO, Billy Ocean and one-hit wonders Janet Kay and David and Ansil Collins.

This week’s Spanish track is by Miguel Bose and Pedro Andrea, singing “Donde alcance el sol”.

I’ll be telling you how a new Spanish ice wine has just been approved and how Spanish air traffic controllers are disrupting holidaymakers this summer. As the fiesta season is well underway in Spain now, I’ll also be telling you the story of Sultan the Bull, bringing a whole new meaning to the traditional fiesta bull-running!

I’ll also be playing you another song by Spanish group Amaral from their album Pajaros en la Cabeza and this one is called “Mi alma perdida”.

The news stories this week include a report showing how Spain tops the world’s league tables for drinking water, a report on Britons living abroad and how the psychic octopus, who became famous for his World Cup predictions, is awarded honorary citizenship of Spain!
